Shhh… Beauty Secrets

What you can and can’t control:

There are so many things in this world we can’t control.  We can’t control our genes or the bodies that we came in with. What we can control is the love and maintenance we give our bodies that ultimately effect our longevity and how we feel as we look in the mirror. I’m a big believer in “home spa.”

I have selected the “best beauty products” that are in my mind high in value and efficiency.  I hope you agree!

Happy body maintenance!  Bellonda Bixby

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate:

For younger more radiant skin there are two things that stand out.  The first is getting all those dead cells off not only your face but your entire body.  Did you know that our skin is our largest organ and moves toxins out of our body.  Some experts believe we move our toxins out of our body first by exhaling our breath, second through our skin, and third through our digestive elimination system.  Many people do a cleans once a year, I recommend doing a total body cleans through exfoliation once a week and your face more often depending on your skin.  Be sure to use a product that is gentle and is self timed so it doesn’t over exfoliate.  I carry for your benefit two products.  One for your face and one for your body because our skin is different.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize:

One of the most important ways you can care for you skin is to moisturize especially after exfoliation. Your moisturizer should do two things.  Protect your skin from the toxins in the environment and add nutrients for skin health, glow, vitality, and balance. I’m not a big fan of lotions or sticky.  I want a product that feels silky, readily absorbs and is feeding my skin for long term health.

This is why I’m a big fan of nano technology (particles that are small enough to actually penetrate the skin vs sit on top.)

I particularly like Jojoba Oil, MCT -medium chain triglycerides made from coconut,  Rose Hip oil, and Apricot oil of which penetrate the skin and are readily absorb-able.  Then I looks for specific qualities in botanical ingredients to feed the skin. I like Lang lang that…to be continued 😉
